Full Description

A township comprising six roofed, three partially roofed and three unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1876, sheet x). Six roofed and two unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).

The Inverness Field Club, led by Donald Coghill, surveyed a number of sites in the Aird area between 1987 and 1989. Kinerras.
There are the footings of a dwelling 12 yards x 5 yards situated on a knoll above the steep slope of an arable field; the entrance is on the south side. The high hump of a small square building with a hollow in the centre is a few yards distant to the S.E. <1>
