Full Description
The Inverness Field Club, led by Donald Coghill, surveyed a number of sites in the Aird area between 1987 and 1989. Culbirnie Muir.
In front of the house, there is a low small oval shaped ditched mound, 6 yards x 5 yards. An exploratory trench cut across the ditch revealed that it was about 3 feet 6 inches wide and shallow with a rounded bottom. It is silted up to a depth of 8 inches in the centre. It appears that the mound which is greener than the immediate surrounding area, was formed by the upcast from the ditch. <1>
