Full Description
This panel was recorded as part of the ScRAP (Scotland’s Rock Art project) by members of NoSAS in March 2019. The panel is a piece of friable sandstone, approximately 0.4m x 0.3m x 0.2m. At some stage it has been roughly shaped, and flakes broken off. There are 4 distinct cups, 1 in the centre and 3 symmetrically placed around it. The cups are deep and evenly shaped but not smooth-surfaced. One of the outer cups has an incised ring roughly carved around it, a second outer cup has a raised ring around it, and the third has an incomplete raised ring. There are several grooves, one with toolmarks, on the sides and main face of the panel. Provenance unknown. <1>
