Full Description

This panel was recorded as part of the ScRAP (Scotland’s Rock Art project) by members of NoSAS in November 2019. This is one of five Evanton garden panels (Evanton Garden 1-5) which are in a collection held by the owner in his garden where they have been moved from their original location.

The panel is a squared off piece of hard sandstone measuring 0.6 x 0.2m and 0.3m thick. There are 10 cups and 1 cup and partial single ring with slight short radal, all on the flat upper surface of the stone. The cup in the ring and one other cup are larger than the other cups. The ring is not circular, and only goes three quarters of the way round the cup, and ends in another cup. There are tool marks visible in one or more of the cups. <1>
