Full Description
A group of Shieling huts at Glen Ose (Glen Ullinish), Skye. They were recorded during a walkover survey by Archaeological and Ancient Landscape Survey in 2001 in advance of the proposed Edinbane Wind Farm development.
Site R: Lying in a green area on the south side of a small burn are the barely visible remains of 4 single celled turf shielings. Only one – a 2m diameter cell - can be easily recognised. The remaining three survive only as circular green patches on the terrace by the burn. <1> <2>
