Full Description

A field system at Langwell. It is visible in vertical aerial photographs taken in 2009 as series of dykes which surround a group of hut circles (see MHG2424, MHG63445, MHG63446, MHG63447, MHG63448 and MHG63449). It may be associated with those or with the farmstead the remains of which lie immediately adjacent to the northwest (see MHG28685). <1>

NOTE: These features were not seen or recorded during a pre-forestry walkover survey by Headland Archaeology in 1998 (see EHG4807) [IS-L 08/08/2024].
