Full Description
This panel was recorded by members of NoSAS (Rock Art Group) in March 2024. Wester Clunes 1 and 2 are close together in an open field at the top of a low SW-NE ridge with extensive views in all directions, about 40m south of a gate in the fence. There is a scatter of boulders along the top of the ridge, slightly raised above the farmed area, and the two panels are amongst these.
The panel is gneiss with a smooth surface. It is approximately rectangular 1.6m x 0.8m and has 4 cup marks at the south end. The two cups nearest the south are deeper than the others and may have been enhanced by weathering. <1>
