Full Description
This panel was recorded by members of NoSAS (Rock Art Group) in August 2022. The panel is on the east edge of a largely grass-covered outcrop on a low SW-NE ridge, about 100m southwest of the house at Leanach. It is in three sections, and curves around the top of the knoll. The outlook is mainly to the east, over the deep valley of the Moniack Burn to the higher ground beyond. Leanach 1 is less than 50m away to east, in an enclosed area behind a deer fence. Spynie Castle Dun is about 400m to the WNW.
The panel has 10 cups in total and is on the horizontal top of an outcrop of gneiss, in three sections. The north section has 6 cups, the middle on 1 cup and the south one 3 cups. The overall length across the three sections is 2.3m, width 0.7m, height 0.6m. <1>
