Full Description
An archaeological survey by Dagg. C was undertaken in 2003 in advance of water mains renewal.
The following features were noted on the 1st edition OS map: East Lone Vine: Smithy at NH 7273 7395. Two rectangular buildings and one small square structure, probably corresponding to the present buildings. These buildings are both in use. It is unlikely that any features associated with former smithying activity lie along the route of the water main between the buildings. <1>
