An archaeological survey was undertaken in 2003 by Dagg. C, in advance of water mains renewal
The following features were noted on the 1st edition OS map: Seaforth Cottage. One roofed, unenclosed building south of the road corresponding to the present building. No associated features north of the road. <1>
