Full Description
Settlement remains at Ardrannach (Torvaig), Skye. Presumably part of the original settlement of Torvaig, the site comprises the remains of at least five buildings and one or two small enclosures or kailyards clustered around a crag of rock outcrop. The remains are visible in various phases of vertical aerial photographs but are expecially clear in those taken in 2009. <1>
Unfortunately, two of the buildings at the northeastern end of the area were destroyed without record (sometime prior to April 2020) during site clearance in relation to a planning application for the erection of a new house prior to the site being recognised. [IS-L 07/11/2024]
