Full Description

Remains of a hut circle with possible later (or contemporary?) modification to the southwest of Ardachu.

The remains comprise a probable hut circle measuring c.12m in diameter with a northern almost triangular extension or extended entranceway. It is unclear whether the site was originally constructed in this way or if the extension/modification was carried out early on or at a much later date. Immediately abutting to the east is a small area of rig cultivation remains. The site is visible on vertical aerial photographs, with those showing the feature clearest taken in 2020. <1>
