Full Description
An early C19 boundary dyke near Hill Cottage.
The site is visible on vertical aerial photographs. <1> <2>
The site was visited and noted by C Dagg during a walkover survey undertaken in 2017 in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. Site 10: Boundary dyke: Footings of what appears to have been at least in parts a double skin drystone dyke running approximately parallel to site 9 and forming an extension northwards of the boundary drystone dyke between Kirkton and Culmaily. It would therefore appear to be contemporary with site 9 (see MHG64962), but sections at the north end and to the south are of a single thickness of rubble which may indicate an original earlier boundary <3>
