Market Cross (NR) (site of) OS 1:2500 map, (1972)
A large stone marks the site of the market cross, situated in the High Street near the bottom of Tolbooth Lane.
Name Book 1872.
The site of the market cross is marked by a cross of granite setts inserted in the middle of the High Street at ND 3637 5099. No information regarding the disposal of the cross was found.
Site surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (W D J) 20 April 1962.
No change. Visited by OS (J B) 18 August 1982.
