Full Description
Remains of the farmstead or small settlement of 'Tomshogle'. The settlement is shown as three houses, two with small associated and abutting enclosures with the usual cultivated fields, on the Roy Miltary Survey Maps and labelled 'Tamishogle'. By the time of the OS 1st Edition map it had been reduced to a small complex of buildings, presumably a single farmstead including house and steading/barns etc. Vertical aerial photographt shows a single roofed building and the the outlines of some of what is shown on the OS 1st edition map. <1> <2> <3>
