Full Description
Remains of a cairn in Dirr Wood. It was recorded by West Coast Archaeological Services in 2015 during a walkover survey in advance of a proposed water main scheme.
Features 29: Low remains of a very degraded stone cairn measuring 5m by 4.5m and up to 0.5m high. <1>
The cairn is visible in Scottish Gov/SEPA LiDAR data <2>
NOTE: The NGR and GIS depiction of this site in <1> appears to be c.12m too far south, possibly caused by a GPS error or inaccuracy during the survey [IS-L 12/02/2026].
