Full Description

A dyke at Braemore, near Lairg. It is visible in vertical aerial photography running for c.100m into an area previously used as a tree plantation where its line is lost. It is far less substantial than a boundary dyke (see MHG42805) that it appears to meet, though there are slight indications that it may have continued eastwards and then southwards to perhaps form an enclosure with a small burn to the south forming the southern boundary and so may, therefore, have been earlier than the more substantial dyke. <1> <2>
