Full Description
A dyked enclosure at Braemore, near Lairg. It is shown on the OS 1st Edition 6 inch map on the opposite side of an unnamed tributary of the Grudie Burn from the Braemore farmhouse It is shown with two small square buildings adjoining to the northeast, though these had gone by the time of the 2nd edition. It is visible in vertical aerial photography, as are the remains of a possible rectangular building at its northen end at NGR 255036 903011 and a small subdivsion created by an insubstantial looking earthwork dyke at NGR 254967 902979. <1> <2>
