Full Description

A former RAF Officers' Mess, part of Tain Airfield. Several concrete building bases survive across the site, including what was presumably the main mess building. Vegetation may be concealing other remains.

Detailed plans of the airfield dating to 1945-6 are held by the Royal Air Force Museum. A digital copy (albeit undated) is held in the HER collections. The are is shown and labelled 'Officers' Mess' on the plan. <1>
