Full Description
Two former areas of camp for Tain Airfield. Known as 'No 7 Site'. At least one concrete building base survives but areas of woodland and vegetation may be concealing more remains.
Detailed plans of the airfield dating to 1945-6 are held by the Royal Air Force Museum. A digital copy (albeit undated) is held in the HER collections. The camp is shown and labelled on the plan but the functions of the buildings are currently unknown. <1>
