Full Description
A large possible fish trap to the north of Bunchrew House in the Beauly Firth. The feature is shown on the OS 1st Edition map as a long single line extending north-northwestwards from near the house for c,220m at which point it cirves round to the west and then south forming an overall and distinctive shepherd's crook shape. The straight line portion of the feature is visible on vertical aerial photographs with the curved 'crook' portion only vaguely visible on those taken when the tide was out. <1> <2>
