Centred on NC 241 581 are the earth and stone footings of at least eleven shielings, rectangular to oval in shape and measuring from 3.5m by 3.0m to 6.0m by 3.0m.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 30 May 1980.

Over an area some 100m square about 300m to the south of the east end of Loch Cam Mharasaid is a well defined group of shieling-huts. (It may be noted that the 1996 revision of Sheet 9 of the Landranger series indicates five ruined buildings at this location, not marked on the previous 1984 revision). This group is referred to in NMRS 4694. The entry is by `JB' of the OS following a visit in 1980 and reads: `Centred on NC 241 581 are the earth and stone footings of at least 11 shielings, rectangular to oval in shape and measuring from 3.5m by 3.0m to 6.0m by 3.0m. Surveyed at 1:10000. ' Note. The survey of this area was severely hampered by a strong dense growth of bracken over much of the site. Some shieling-huts or other structures which remain only as traces may have gone unrecorded on this occasion; and the reference to `at least 11 shielings' in NMRS 4694 is therefore not disputed. A further visit at a more favourable time of year should allow the survey to be completed more reliably.

Feature 3; Approximately 20m SW of Feature 2 is a small oval structure, N-S on its long axis and measuring 2m by 1.5m internally. The inside of the walling shows curved facings in places. The walls, of rough boulder construction, are not more than 0.4m at their highest and are lm thick in the east and west but tumbled to a 3m spread in north and south. There is no obvious entrance. Approximately 6m to the west (in an area covered in dense bracken) there is a small ruinous structure built into the hillslope. This is probably a store associated with summer shieling activity. <1>
