Full Description
A field survey of parts of the John Muir Trust's Sandwood Estate was carried out by ACFA members in July 1998. The initial selection of sites was guided by JMT's conservation manager.
Feature 2.3.2; Feature 2 is a roughly rectangular enclosure 28m N-S by 20m E-W, marked on east and west by turf-covered drystone walls with an average height of two courses. The north edge is marked by a bank of turf only.
Features 3A and 3B are meandering turf banks adjacent to Feature 2, enclosing small terraced plots of ground. The banks are generally to a height of 0.3m. <1>
