Full Description
A second archaeological survey of Sandwood Estate in the parish of Eddrachillis was undertaken by ACFA in 2002.
The following clearance cairns were noted. For individual locations see the attached plan. All cairns are grassy with some stone visible.
Feature 6; 2m diameter, 0.Sm high. Feature 16; 4m by 1.Sm, 0.7m high.
Feature 7 ; 4m by 2m, 0.5m high. Feature 17; 4m by 3.7m, 1m high.
Features 8; 6m by 2m, 0.5m high. Feature 18; 3m diameter, 1m high.
Feature 9; 3m by 2.Sm, 0.5m high. Feature 19; 3.5m by 2.Sm, 1m high.
Feature 10; 2m diameter, 0.5m high. Feature 20; 3m by 2m, 1m high.
Feature 11; 4.2m by 2m, 0.5m high. Feature 21; 2m diameter, 0.5m high.
Feature 12 ; 3.Sm by l.Sm, 0.3m high. Feature 22; 6m by 4m, 0.5m high.
Feature 13; 6.Sm by 4m, 0.5m high. Feature 23; 3.Sm by 2.Sm, 0.5m high.
Feature 14; 2.Sm by 2m, 0.3m high. Feature 24; 2.5m by I.Sm, 0.5m high.
