Full Description
A second archaeological survey of Sandwood Estate in the parish of Eddrachillis was undertaken by ACFA in 2002.
A subrectangular enclosure 13m N-S by 10m lies on a gently sloping area at the edge of boggy ground close to the present course of a stream and the inshore end of a shingle bank. The walls are mainly ruinous, except at the NNW comer where eight courses survive. The stream has encroached and now nms along the south wall, which is bowed towards it for nearly half its length. No internal features are visible. <1>
