Full Description
A second archaeological survey of Sandwood Estate in the parish of Eddrachillis was undertaken by ACFA in 2002.
Built at the top of the stony beach are a flat raised platform with back wall revetted into the hillside, and a well constructed building of two cells within the revetment at the west end. The north and south cells measure respectively 2.4m by 1.15m and 2.3m by 1.6m internally. According to a local informant, the cells are known as 'Nedd's house' after the original builder and occupant, and date from the mid-19th C. <1>
