Full Description
A second archaeological survey of Sandwood Estate in the parish of Eddrachillis was undertaken by ACFA in 2002.
Feature 6.2; 'Pictish Grave. A rectangular stone setting 2.5m NE-SW by 2m with a centrally placed inner setting 0.9m square lies in sheep-cropped turf. Dimensions of individual stones are typically 0.25-0.3m. The setting is squarely oriented towards the homestead some 600m away to the northeast, on the far side of Sandwood Loch, and has the appearance of a grave.
