Full Description
NH74NE 31 7817 4506 and 7826 4512.
(NH 782 452) Probable hut circled overlaid by probably medieval cultivation.
Visible on RAF air photographs F21.58.RAF.2703: 0100-1; flown 3 February 1959.
At NH 7817 4506 and NH 7826 4512 on the crest of an afforested ridge are two oval stone-walled huts.
'A' is ill defined by a denuded wall spread to an indeterminate width, and measures approximately 16.0 m from NW to SE by 13.0 m transversely between its centres. The entrace is not evident.
'B' measures about 18.0 m from NW to SE by 14.0 m transversely between the centres of a denuded wall spread to about 4.0m. The entrance is not evident. There is no trace of contemporary cultivation in the vicinity of the huts, but outside the afforested area to the SW are clearance heaps (see NH74SE 21).
Visited by OS (A A) 29 January 1971.
Surveyed at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (A A) 10 February 1972.
These hut circles are now inaccessable in dense forest.

The two huts circles are generally as described in the preceeding field report.
