Tortola Well (Site of) (NAT) OS 6" map, (1959)

Said to be a healing well. The name Tortola is said to derive from the island of Tortola in the West Indies. Name Book 1869.

No trace of well. At site is an overflow pipe for pond in grounds of Golfview Hotel. The name 'Tortola Well' no longer known locally.
