Full Description
Centred ND 0938 5167. The mutilated remains of shielings
are represented by four featureless mounds of turf (about
4m by 4 m) on the E bank of the Allt Athain Shalaich, some
600 m N of its junction with the Allt loch-meadie.
Shielings listed.
(ND 093 516) Old Shielings (NAT)
The area has been deep ploughed and planted with trees.
Only two shieling footings are recoverable, and these are
barely discernible.
Published survey (6") cancelled and revised.
