A Celtic establishment is suggested by the name Ballindore (NH 9464 4197) - Baile-an-deoradh - the place of residence of the Dewar' or hereditary keeper of a Celtic church bell. (See NH94SW 15 - Sculptured cross-slab and NH94SE 2 - Chapel site )
