NH49NE 1 490 989.

(Centred: NH 490989) Tynchoich: shown as a group of about five houses with arable. To the N.E., apparently near the position of the name 'Carn Mor' on the 6", an enclosure is shown (W Roy 1747). Deserted by 1906

In the area are the footings of nine dwellings varying in size from 8.0 x 3.0 x 0.5 to 17.0 x 4.0 x 0.5 m together with associated field banks and enclosures.

An unroofed building in a small area of cultivation is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xi), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1990).
