Full Description

Centred on NH 477 896 on a south-facing hillside is a settlement of three stone-walled hut circles (A-C) in association with a field system. The huts are poorly preserved and generally heather-covered.
'A' is 8.5m by 7.5m inside a wall spread to 2.0m. An entrance is from the SE on the line of the longer axis.
'B' is 8.0m diameter within a wall spread to 20.m. An entrance is no longer evident, probably destroyed by a track, cutting through on the NW-SE axis of the hut.
'C' is about 6.0m diameter inside an obscure wall. An entrance is from the S.
The contemporary agriculture, best seen north west of hut 'C', is mainly indicated by mounds of field clearance spaced on average at 20.0m intervals. Occasional lynchets are in evidence as are odd rickles of stone clearance. Measureable cultivation plots are not discernible. Surveyed at 1:10 000.
