Full Description

1st ed OS shows long linear building N of farmsteading range part around a courtyard. Also marks a "sun dial" & a "Stone" on W end of house - HAW 8/2003

Site of the 'Old House of Brae' destroyed in 1682. Present house, a single storey cottage, built 1894 and still occupied. A carved stone in the SW gable reads 'Fear God'.
Visited by OS (RB) 20 January 1966.
