An archaeological evaluation by Dagg. C was undertaken in 2003 in advance of water mains renewal work but "the stone was not located within the probable wayleave of the present work, and whether or not is in situ, it will not be affested". <1>

Note; The position of the stone was recorded as having been moved in 1992 and has been adjusted to NH7272 7398. (TB 9/9/24)
