Full Description
A hoard of silver pennies of early 13th century gave precision to the end of the third phase of fortification (ref 11 Mackie EW: Scotland an Arch Guide) NB in refs to Fort/Dun excavation ie NH19SW0003
15 silver short cross pennies & 9 similar half pennies buried under the debris of the collapsed north radial wall. Most of these were dateable to the period AD1180-1242
