Blar nan Ceann. Site of Conflict between Mackenzies of Seaforth and Macdonnells of Glengarry (TI)

'Blar nan Ceann' is the name applied to the hollow at W end of Strathpeffer, and takes its name from having been scene of a conflict between the MacKenzies and Macdonells of Glengarry, which the latter lost. The name means 'Battlefield of the heads' The date of this event could not be locally ascertained.
