Unlocated.
In September 1715 there was a Skirmish at Alness between the
MacKenzies, MacDonalds and other Jacobite clans, under the Earl of Seaforth, and the Earl of Sutherland at the head of the Munros, Rosses, MacKays and other Whig clans. The Earl of Sutherland's forces were driven over Struie to Bonar.

The location of this record on the map is a best guess placed at the centre of grid square NH 64 74. The point was relocated from the grid square corner following a comment from a website user that this was misleading. <1><2>
