Full Description

On a shelf on a SW-facing hillslope, are the remains of a massive hut circle of Kilphedir II type (see NC91NE 25), now overgrown with heather and bracken. It has been robbed, some 6m having been totally removed from the SW arc, but it appears to have been circular, about 10m in diameter within a wall, 0.8m maximum height, spread to 3m. Some three or four boulders of the inner wall face are exposed. The entrance has been destroyed. Occupying 1.5 hectares of slope NE of the hut circle are about eighteen low, turf-covered clearance heaps which are probably contemporary with the hut. This area contains a number of recent surface quarries which superficially resemble hut circles set into the slope.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (N K B) 16 November 1982.

GIS spatial data amended in 2018 according to location as seen on 2009 APs. <1>
