Full Description
NH57NE 17 5760 7657
In rough ground 100m NE of Ruievard, at foot of SW side of strath, there are remains of one or possibly two buildings and an associated enclosure. The enclosure includes a subsidiary structure, which is possibly a building. This structure is of large boulder construction and measures 9m from N to S by 5m overall and up to 0.5m in height. It has an entrance midway along its E side and a plinth against the S end. A modern track, which cuts obliquely down the slope from the track to Ruievard, has demolished the SW corner of a building to the NW. It measures 7.5m from N to S by 4.5m over walls up to 0.5m in height and has an entrance midway along its E side. An old trackway cuts an oblique hollow uphill from the building and a few metres W a dyke of large boulders runs for 35m from outcrop to outcrop on a converging course.
