Full Description
On E bank of Loch Meadie are the dilapidated remains of a corn-drying kiln, 3m in diameter, located at base of an embankment some 15m E of water's edge.
Adjacent are what may be remains of a hut circle: a few large slab-like boulders forming a circle 10m in diameter. A few of these are covered by peat and heather.
Visited by OS (J L D) 12 April 1961.
ND 0929 4816. The ill-defined kiln, as described, is sited away from any recognisable cultivation; it seems more likely to have been a lime kiln. The adjacent feature is not a hut circle but a disposition of stones which may be disturbed ground associated with kiln.
