Market cross, Milton: The shaft is of the usual type, square in plan with the corners chamfered and stopped at bottom, resting on three tiers of steps, and crowned with a finial in the shape of a circular stone, ornamented with a band and neck and cornice; altogether one of the best examples of its class. <1>
