Full Description

NC82NW 18 8294 2578.

At NC 82942578 amoung the depopulated township of Ceannabhaid there is a hut circle. It measures 13.0m in diameter within a turf-covered wall spread to 3.0m. The mutilated entrance is in the SE, with a portal stone on its E side. Cultivation associated with the township surrounds the hut.

This hut-circle is situated on a slight natural terrace within the improved and ridged land around the buildings of Ceannabhaid township (NC82NW 13). It is crossed by a modern fence and has been disturbed by stock trampling. It measures 13.2m in diameter within a stony bank 3.5m in thickness and 0.4m in height. The entrance is on the E and the N side of the interior is built up to a height of 0.9m.
