Full Description

NC82NE 9 8742 2904.

(NC 87422904) Enclosure unannotated.
OS 6"map, (1962)

Discovered during field investigation, situated on fairly flat ground, is a mutilated "U" - shaped enclosure. It consists of a stone turf bank, 12.0m NW-SE by 6.0m NE-SW, and has a maximum height of 0.7m. The opening is to the SE.
There is a great quantity of typical cairn debris scattered around this feature, and it is possible that a cairn existed here prior to the "enclosure" being inserted. If so it was possibly about 19.0m in diameter, and the NE side of the "enclosure" may even represent the rim on that side. There are numerous field clearance mounds in the area. Visited by OS (E G C) 26 May 1961

The feature is now in an area of forestry, and has been
ploughed and planted. The remains are now too
amorphous for further judgment to be made.
Visited by OS (J B) 8 January 1977
