On a south-facing slope above the Tuarie Burn is a group of at least thirteen oval and rectangular shielings, partially surrounded by a ruinous wall (Information from OS (J L D) 15 July 1961). They vary in size from about 4.0m by 3.0m to 7.0m by 3.0m and survive to an average height of 0.3m. One shieling has been built into the wall of an earlier hut circle (See NC 82 SW3).
