Full Description

NC62NBW 33 632 394.

Centred NC 632 394 and NC 632 396 are the remains of two walled enclosures. The more southerly, bisected by the Allt Gruama Mor, has the remains of five shielings and three larger houses of average size 9m by 3m. The other enclosure, bisected by a wall has the remains of three shielings, one within a hut circle (See NC63NW 27). Any remains of run rig ploughing is obscured by the rough vegetation, a mixture of heather and turf. A more recent sheepfold lies between the enclosures.
Visited by OS (JB) 28 March 1977.
