Full Description

Centred on NC 741552 in undulating moorland, is a settlement of 4 simple, peat obscured hut circles ('A'-'D'). 'A' and 'B' are similar, both are apparent as platforms about 12.0m in overall diameter with occasional stones protruding through the peat indicating the walls. They are entered from the east and south respectively. 'C' is 6.5m in diameter within a low wall spread to 2.0m. The entrance is in the south. 'D' is 9.0m south east-north west by 7.5m within a vague wall of indeterminate width. The entrance is in SE.
There is a small, minor field system on the west facing slope between huts 'A' and 'C'. It is denoted by scattered clearance heaps and occasional wasted walls, no plots are visible. Elsewhere the more level ground in peat covered.
Surveyed at 1:10000. Visited by OS (J B) 1 September 1977.
