Full Description

NC75NW 52 735 559.

Centred on NC 735 559 arre 2 hut circles ('A' and 'B'). 'A' set deeply into the south facing slope, is 10m in diameter within a low wall spread to 2.5m. The entrance is in the south. 'B' is placed beside a burn in somewhat marshy ground. It measures 11.5m south east-north west by 10.5m within a wall about 1.6m wide and 0.5m high. The entrance is in the south east.
Sporadic clearance heaps and patches of stone free land on the drier ground is the only evidence of contemporary cultivation.
Surveyed at 1:10000. Visited by OS (J B) 1 September 1977.
