Full Description

NC73SE 12 7705 3351.

At NC 7705 3351, on a low spur on the gentle north-facing slope of Meall an t-Socaich, is a poorly-preserved stone-walled hut. It measures 13.5m NW-SE by 11.0m within a heather and peat-covered wall of indeterminate thickness. The entrance of simple form is in the SE arc.
Some 120.0m east of the hut is a scoop in the hillslope, 8.0m in diameter and ringed with stones. It is too amorphous to enable positive classification; it may be a hut.
Associated cultivation is limited to sporadic cleared areas with a few adjacent clearance heaps. No field plots are evident.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (N K B) 10 February 1977.
