Full Description
NC84NE 9 895 496.
NC 895 496. A group of about one hundred and fifty heather-covered, circular mounds averaging 4m in diameter and 0.3m in height, on a west-facing slope.
R J Mercer 1980.
There are no mounds in the vicinity of the given map reference. Six hundred metres due south are numerous mounds along a steep west-facing slope, but overall, particularly in view of poor drainage, they are probably natural.
Visited by OS (J M) 12 November 1980.
